The Great Divide

First and foremost. I'm sorry that I once again neglected you. I'd say it'll never happen again but I'd be lying. The truth is, I didn't get up to much last week.
Wednesday I watched the Canada Day fireworks. They were pretty darn good. I totally "oohed" and "ahhed" over them.
Saturday was a Blog worthy day.
After work, and a very much needed shower (it was warm out, I was housekeeping, I did not smell nice), the girls and I went on a bit of an adventure to BC. Nicole and Tina decided it would be fun to go to the boarder, get a picture with the "Welcome to BC!" sign and then, on the way back, get a picture with the "Welcome to Alberta!" sign. They were correct, it surely was fun. We had a lot of fun taking these pictures. We had to balance our cameras on the car and set the timers, then Nicole and Tina would get in place, I'd hit the buttons and book it into my spot. They all turned out quite well. This was a HUGE ass dandelion. You can't really tell from the picture cuz I'm a goober and didn't put anything in there to scale it to, but it really was huge. Apparently bears really enjoy munching on dandelions. We also stopped at the Jasper National Park sign and got a picture with it. (obviously) You can kind of see how big the dandelions are in this picture. Nicole found a four leaf clover at the Jasper Park sign and I got really excited about it so she gave it to me. Thanks Nicole! Tina found a cork at the Alberta sign and while I was standing around rambling about who the hell knows what, she threw it at me and yelled "put a cork in it!" It was funny. At least I thought so, I laughed pretty hard. After all the sign finding and climbing I realized that I had the munchies. "To Buckles!" So we headed to Buckles and I ate my heart out. While Tina drank hers' out.Mmm. Greek Salad. De-lish.The best part about Buckles is Archie, the owner. He's old(ish) and Greek and hilarious. He kept telling us fantastic jokes while feeding Tina and Nicole drinks. This shot has Baja Rosa in it. Not something my body would have agreed with.Boy are silly. They were arm wrestling for a good portion of the night. Watch out! Matti is freakishly strong for his size. He beat everyone he went up against. Which was only two people, but hey, that's 2 outt've 2!
Of course the pictures end with toast. It's my bedtime snack. Heck! It's my all time snack. Mmm....Toast. I was pretty pissed with these shit pieces of bread when I pulled them out to disvouver that there was a huuge hole in them. Grr.
SUNDAY! Was pretty lax. But still amusing. I worked in the morning then headed over to Nicoles' to do some laundry. I'd been neglecting it. Harshly. It started to thunder and rain and lightning so we though it'd be killer to head up to the edge of the world, smoke a dube and watch the lightning from up there. Would have been a good plan had we not moved so slowly. I'm pretending to be a monster. Rarg!

These are the same colour as Nicoles hair.

I am currently back home on the Island and have pictures and stories about my journey but they're going to have to wait for another day (hopefully tomorrow) as I am ass tired from travelling/burning out and need to get some rest.
