Effie W

I have to make this a quick one because Effie (my sisters roommate) really wants to read my blog. I just got off the phone with my sister. It is now 11:22pm. Time to SPEED BLOG!
These are empties from Nicole's old place. This is about a month's worth. Can you tell that MooseHead is generally the beer of choice? The boys. Lookin' good, eh? There was a superhero party and since they'd just moved none of them had any idea where anything was. Matti is Crocodile Dundee. Nick is just plain weird. And Eddys' (who is wearing my hat btw) favourite line for anyone (girls) who asked him what superhero he was dressed up as was "Whatever superhero you want me to be." He's pretty slick that way. I had no idea there was a party and had made my way over there right after work. I was looking pretty lame. So I stuck on my glasses and went as a superheros alter ego. I thought it was pretty quick thinking. Wish I had a picture. Eddy, Nick, Raquel and I went up to Mount Edith Cavell last night. We made it up there around 10pm. It was getting dark. We walked anyways. Eddy decided to climb an outhouse. We did what I think was called "The Cavell Pond" walk. This is Nick in the pond. Grabbing an ice cube. The water was quite chilly. So was the ice cube. Makes sense considering it's a glacial pond, eh?It was big. And completely solid. We all want to go back in the daytime and do the longer hike. It's like 6.1 kms and over that 6.1 km you ascend like 500 metres. It's going to be intense.
For some reason we thought we should take the ice cube home with us. So the boys and I took turns carrying it. It hurt your hands so harshly.
Part way down we thought about it and realized that taking a piece of ice from the pond was a pretty silly thing to be doing. So instead Eddy and I placed it on this rock. RIP giant ice cube. We got a little bit lost on our way down due to lack of light. But we made it.
Tonight at work Trevor decided to help Nicole with her rounds of the property. She called me all excited and was like "Do you have your camera!? You're going to love this!" She knows me so well. I love that cat. So generally when I get home after work or chillain I like to eat. Generally it's toast but if I'm out of bread it's got to be something else. This was a bit hit. Crackers with peanut butter and banana. Scrumptious. I'll be doing this one again, for sure. I've yet to snipe any pictures of me at Horseshoe from Nicole but she did post this sigular photo of the Northern Lights. Lookit it! It was such an amazing thing to see. There's this one of me and I look like an alien calling to the mother ship. It's pretty fantastic. Oh! And there's one of me at Horseshoe and I have just surfaced after jumping off of a 40 ft cliff and I'm blowing snot and water out of my nose and I have this gorgeouse neck roll, I look like a sea creature. It's pretty gorgeous. I'll be sure to post both of those once I get my hands on 'em.

11:59pm, 37 minutes later, the SPEED BLOG is finished!

JOHN DE ROSA

Nicole and roommates have moved into their new place! Nicole took me for a tour the night before they moved in. The following is footage from it. Warning: You might become very jealous of this home very fast. (I did)
This is on the front of the house. He was the landlords father.
Yeah, they've got lions. I think they named them last night but I was intoxicated and have no idea if I imagined it or not.

The carpets in this place are the originals. So old school, so slick, so amazing. This is Nicks' carpet.
This one is pretty bawlin'. Nicole and Matts carpet. Last but certainly not least, Eddys' carpet. My absolute favourite of the entire house. I took a picture of it with my phone to use it as my wallpaper. It looks fucking amazing.
Master bedrooms curtains. Yes. That is gold you see. Nicoles' new dresser. She was stoked to see that it was left behind. Like seriously excited. It was cute.
The master bedrooms' chandelier and sparkly ceiling. It's the second best light fixture in the place. The best being Nicks' astronaut light cover. I only noticed it last night so I don't have a picture of it. But take my word. It's great. Their fireplace. It's a record player on one side (nicole has disneys greatest hits on vinyl that we're going to hit up) and a totally old school eight track player on the other. Nick is going to buy some eight tracks from ebay. Fucking great. Here's the eight track player. It says "Stereo Eight". Lookit the velvet!Kitchen cupboard innards. Every cupboard in the place has a similar lining to it. They previous tennants left them some sticky sticks. Lucky!Nicole gave me this. It's hanging in Dianne now. It looks amazing. Yeah, I know. I'm a nasty sick grease ball in this one. I hadn't showered in like 3 days and I just got off from work. Where we must now wear collared shirts. I own 2 collared shirts and they're both white. I guess it gives me a good reason to go shopping though. This is my favourite part of the entire place. I've claimed it as my chair and secrectly named her Judith. I'm in love. She has a matching chesterfield.

Just chillian on Judith. Nicole chillain on the chesterfield in the background. We just sat in an empty house for quite a while. It was nice. From another angle. Check the wood panelling. You just can't help but love it. I went out last Sunday. This is what I looked like. I really like the hoop in my nose. That's why I'm showin' ya guys. I put it back in today because work makes me take both of my face piercings out but today is my friday. I stuck this sticker on my door on Monday, I think. I put it there to see how long it would take my roommate to take it off thinking she'd get annoyed and peel it the second she saw it. The banana sticker is still there.

Peace all. I'm probably going out again tonight. Don't expect pictures.

Update!

I totally saw the northern lights last night. It was my first time and it was amazing. For real real realz. I'm working on getting some pictures from Nicole. She took some absolutely amazing shots.
Oh, and last night I finally hit up Horseshoe Lake for some cliff jumping. It was amazing. Cold, yes, but so worth it.
I had so much fun that I went back out there again this afternoon before work. It was hot hot hot and the water was so refreshing. I jumped off from about 40 feet. It was absolutely fantastico! Just outrageous. I didn't plug my nose and water went pretty far up. I think I mangled my inner ear pretty harshly. Feeling a bit better now but still ringing. Nicole also took some pictures of both days. As soon as I get my hands on them I'll post some. Can't wait for tomorrow when I go again.

Island in the Sun

Woah, hott day in Jasper today. I layed on the beach and soaked up the rays. This post is about the island though. I think it's the last of my pictures.
Sister and I hit up Atlas Cafe for breaky one morning. She looks so professional. Go sister go!Mmm Eggs Benny. With delicious mushrooms on it. So good.
I went to Stoten Falls that evening. Tried to find someone to go with but couldn't so I went on my own.
This is the best spot for jumping. I attempted to get over to it but the water was cold and I was a chicken shit. This is where I bailed (hard) 2 summers ago. It sucked. I had phones in my pockets and a towel over my shoulders. And then, I got this sick, nasty rash all over my legs. It looked like a gazillion mosquito bites but they weren't itchy. It went away eventually. Used to swim in this area too. There's a slide like waterfall that was a lot of fun.Oh so fortunate to be from this beautiful Valley.
I of course had to take some self portraits.Proof that I was actually there.

New Day! (Last full day on the Island to be precise)
I went to Becky's for breakfast again. Had carrot cake for breakfast. woot. Then it was off to Coombs! First store, Stairway to Hemp. It's telling the truth. I love it. I wish I was child sized. One of these things is not like the other ones. One of these things just doesn't belong.Someone's pretty hardcore.Big Buddha!Big Rooster! I couldn't help myself.
This is me riding the Big Rooster last summer with my lesbian hair cut. Somehow that just doesn't make sense. They were playing some pretty cool beats.
Into the Coombs Emporium in search of the mythical....
Giant penis chair!Brittany was pretty happy to find it. But I was like 3000 times more excited.
Hullo, DreamBoat! Be jls.
Britt with the giraffes.A picture in the Coombs Car is a must with every trip there. So, Coombs is pretty famous for the "Goats on the Roof" unfortunatley for me, they were hiding in a corner and I couldn't snap a picture of them. This will have to do. After Coombs I went and hung out with Momma and some family friends. Momma taught me how to take a bottle cap off with a lighter.
It took a couple of tries but I got it! :)Mmm fresh picked blackberrys.

Then I headed over to Baba and Grampys. It got a little silly.Woah Babs, rockin' the pink shades. Lookin' good! Then it got even sillier. I was showing off my new 2$ shorts when Grampy says "have I got a pair of shorts for you!" Then he goes downstairs and comes up wearing these beauts. They're "Brooks" and 100% genuine polyester. I love them. Grampy told me that when I wear them I have to tuck my shirt in so that I can show of the waistband. It's blue and red elastic. They're my new favourite shorts. Thanks Grampy!

I just went back and re-read this post. It's definatly not up to par but it's getting posted anyways.
