Heads Up!

Hung out with Nicole and friends last night. I was at her house for almost 12 hours. Got there around 5 left about 4:30. I had a great time.
Nicole and I started off by chilling with Wanda and Sir Cobbins. Where I discouvered this gigantic jug. Apparently it's called a Gallon and you can buy them full of beer at Pete's. I want one. Then Nicole made us dinner. Salad and sausages. It was delicious. Especially the salad. It had mushrooms in it.
This is Matt, Nicoles boyfriend. He's sick. I asked him how he was feeling and he looks at me and says "Like a bag of smashed crackers." It was the best response he could have come up with. Fucking perfect.
After he said that, with blog on the brain, I asked if I could take his picture. It came off a little creepy. No Biggie.
Later on in the evening, after more pot and conversation Eddy showed up and decided it was time for poker. Asked me if I knew how to play, I said no. Asked me if I wanted to learn, I said yes. So the boys taught me how to play. I beat them and won all the chips. I told them I was sure they let me win. Which is pretty hard to do in poker. But, Nick was playing blind and Eddy was out pretty early. The pile above is only part of what I won.
After I kicked ass in the teaching round (and won 5 dollas) the boys proceeded to play Heads up for some cold hard cash. I watched for a bit then decided I should get in on it with my 5$ winning. I started off by kicking ass, again. I was up 55$ at one point. (yes, I realize there is only 45 in the picture, but I really was up that much) Nick was even and Eddy was down 55. I had all of Eddy's money. We kept playing. We played for at least 3 hours. I'd sit out once in a while but always got bored and started back up again. Poor Eddy (hand in the upper right corner) kept getting trips but losing anyways. This was my kick ass full house. Totally unexpected. Take that, Bitches. And then I started to lose. And lose. And win. And lose. I stopped when I was down to 10 and dealt for the boys. (equally as entertaining...kind of) By the time I was finally tired enough to drag my sorry ass home, Eddy had won like 12 games in a row, not sure how much $, and they were still going at it as I walked out the door.

I had a fantastic time and I feel so grateful to have met these terrific people. Oh, and did I mention that last night was what they consider "a quiet night in."

This summer will be amazing.
