I'm the Queen of the Castle

The weather in Alberta is so damn random. It can never decide what exactly it wants to do and that pisses me off. At least back home (Comox Valley, on Vancouver Island) if it’s raining/overcast, it’s probably going to be like that all day. This morning when I woke up and looked outside it was a dull looking day with only clouds in the sky and I accepted that. I figured I could still go outside, take a walk and enjoy myself so I jumped in the shower. Upon exiting the shower and looking outside, about 13 minutes since I’d first looked out, it had turned into a beautiful day with only a few clouds and blue skies. Totally stoked! I decided that I’d climb up my mountain, (I only call it that because I have absolutely no idea what it’s actually called) lie in the sun and read a book. So I stuffed my backpack full of shit, including a delicious lunch, and set out for the trek up. On my way up i realize that it’s really fucking hot out, so hot in fact that my backpack straps were a little bit moist with sweat.(pretty, I know)
So I’m lying in my meadow on top of my mountain, enjoying the sun and my book when the sun goes behind a cloud and I start to get rained on. Not a lot, but it was cold. I wait it out and eventually the sun comes back. It does this about 5 times while I’m up there. What the heck?! Weather! Make a fucking decision. I stayed up there for about 3 hours regardless and only came back home because I had to pee and thought it unethical to squat in a National Park. Yesterday I did a little mini work-out consisting mostly of squats and lunges (I used zoodles/shreks as weights, so ghetto) and my ass/thighs are majorly sore making the downhill walk home a bit rough. I stubbed my toe on a rock at one point and had to hobble for about 5 minutes before it stopped hurting and I could walk normally. Oh nature.
